Having for so long been a proponent of the Western business model, the author was disturbed by the gradual failure of much of the system. In working with countries in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and the Far East, he started to recognise that there were other potential models that could be adopted.
This book looks at those alternatives, tries to dispel some of the Western myths and proposes changes that could be adopted at all levels of a society. In the process he challenges not only the ways of working, but also better measurement systems for evaluating true success.
The book is intended to challenge accepted Western thinking and to open up possibilities for a more sustainable model for the future.
