Self-image is a construct we have of ourselves that direct our beliefs, thoughts, emotions and how we behave in the world. This construct is influenced by numerous factors such as our experiences, cultures, upbringings, and our unique personality. If we do not recognise and challenge our self-image through self-observation, understanding self esteem and self-awareness, we can effectively make ourselves blind to how we are presenting ourselves in the world, and consequently how we communicate ourselves to others. Self-image is a sober concept our of ourselves that can positively grow and help in achieving our purposes.
