In today’s business and professional environments, English is widely used throughout the world. Moreover, the world has virtually shrunk into a global village where people from different linguistic groups congregate and need to communicate in a language that is widely used - and here lies the importance of the English language. This book is a guide to appropriate terminology used in various professional situations e.g., the terminology used in banking transactions, in the legal profession, etc.

About the author

Mr. Man Mohan Joshi, M.A., M.Ed., Cert.EA, Dip.HRD, has over 40 years’ teaching, training and administrative experience. He has worked as Principal of large and reputed schools in India, Kuwait and Sultanate of Oman.

For his work on Innovative Practices in Value Education he was awarded by the National Council of Educational Research and Training, India.

He is also the recipient of the Best Teacher Award from the Govt. of Tamilnadu, India, as well as the Central Board of Secondary Education, India.

He has presented papers at various national and international conferences under the auspices of UNESCO. He has also conducted various workshops for teachers, students, parents and administrators. The topics covered a wide area viz., Leadership and Team Building, Value Education, Administration Skills, Choosing a Career, Effective Decision Making in School Administration, Effective Communication Skills, Interpersonal Relationships, Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation, Skills in Dealing with Managers, Secretarial Skills.

Currently he is working as Consultant for the Arabian Institute for financial and Administrative Studies, Sultanate of Oman, and also conducts workshops for teachers, educational administrators, managers, supervisors and marketing personnel.

Manmohan Joshi

Manmohan’s interactive style and unique ability to engage with young as well as not so young has made him a very effective training facilitator. He has conducted a horde of training programmes in India and the Middle East. His deep insight into the culture of his home country – India – and that of the Middle East has made it possible for him to effectively engage audiences. He has also made presentations on various topics at International Conferences under the auspices of UNESCO, and ensured that his practical viewpoints are shared with a wide variety of audience.

Currently a Freelance Training Facilitator, Manmohan has authored several eBooks on Management and Education.

Having worked as Head of several educational and training organisations in India, Kuwait and Oman, he has specialised in training programmes for people in a wide variety of professions. He has also made a Webinar presentation on Personality Development organised by a US-based organisation.

An alumnus of Cambridge International College (UK), Manmohan also holds a Ph.D. in Management, and Masters in Business Management, Education and English.

Manmohan is currently India-based and conducts training programmes for college students, professors and management executives.
