Confidence is not what or how we feel about ourselves. It is an internal evaluation of our behaviour and skill in specific situations. Our internal dialogue and self-assessment can influence our confidence, this self esteem is not the confidence itself. We can have doubt and insecurity in a moment (self-esteem becomes low) yet still have absolute confidence in our abilities. The skill is knowing self-esteem, our locus of control and having the ability to be self-aware. Confidence is dependent on specific indicators, knowing them allows you look for what you need to build your own confidence.
