Managing staff who are working from home can be both a challenge and an opportunity. In changed circumstance managers will need to manage the work as efficiently as they have done previously with staff in an office environment. Robust systems have to be put in place to allow this to happen. Managers need to review their management styles since what works when managing a team face to face may not work as well when managing staff who are working at home. Managers also have to consider how they continue to motivate their staff from a distance and work on their organizational culture whilst staff are working remotely.
