Social interactions enrich us. We can master interacting with all kinds of people, even those who speak hurtfully. With the right communication skills, our interactions become consistently productive and joyful. Specifically, Assertiveness provides us a set of verbal communication skills and techniques, underpinned on mutual respect. It demolishes many of the irrational or erroneous beliefs that hold us back. It strengthens our ability to articulate our thoughts, feelings, wants and needs, appropriately. With practice, we become confident of engaging with anyone, freely, and in all situations.
