Expectations are actions that individuals anticipate when interacting with others. Having clarity in communicating our expectations, denotes that we have understanding of what and why those expectations are in place. This develops trust. Self-regulation is vital, we need to know ourselves and manage ourselves through this. If we speak out of our own confusion or frustration, this removes clarity and breaks the communication. We set an example in or own behaviour and understand others with a growth mindset. By having fact based communication, we give space for others to find clarity for themselves.
