Metaphors and storytelling transcend language and culture. The way language is interpreted is often dependent on the nuances inherit in the language itself. This can create a behaviour in communication and intention of the communication, especially when abstract concepts or subjective experiences of an event are needed to convey the information. Using metaphors and storytelling, we can be specific about the information shared and intentional with outcome of connection through the information. By allowing an individual to connect and colour in the story, they can have a personal relationship with the information which leads to greater buy in and understanding.
