We need psychological safety to have a speak-up culture. Otherwise, employees do not feel safe to share their ideas, mistakes, questions, or concerns. That can have negative consequences for organizations, such as low quality of products or services. Leaders play a crucial role in creating a speak-up culture. At the same time, it is the responsibility of all employees to foster such a culture. After attending this session, you will describe the importance of psychological safety and speaking up, explain three types of speaking up, and apply actionable insights to foster a speak-up culture.
