This selection of challenging problems for the algebra-based introductory physics course grew from the request of the author’s students to provide a selection of problems for preparation of exams. No attempt is made to include all possible topics covered in a standard course, but cover key concepts. Most problems are at a level consistent with standardized tests [such as MCAT – Medical College Admission Test (AAMC - American Association of Medical Colleges)]. More straightforward, one-step problems can be found in general textbooks for a two-semester college physics course.
