This book begins with brief, popular-style summaries of researched front-line models of leadership and stress. The main part then presents practical advice on leadership before, during and after stressful events. The final part gives advice on self-development, selection and training.

The target group is front-line leaders and higher-level managers who have to cope with 'triple stress' – combinations of acute stress, moral stress and accumulated everyday stress. People in HR departments who shall select, prepare and support leaders for upcoming stressful encounters are also addressed.
