Jacky Dakin is an experienced psychologist, organisational development consultant, facilitator and executive coach. She is a regular guest presenter and keynote speaker at seminars and conferences. Her appealing presentation style and warm interpersonal manner has made her a popular public speaker and workshop presenter. She always effectively tailors her presentations to meet client needs. Jacky delivers a range of presentations to both large and small groups in the public and private sectors across Australia. She has also worked in the Middle East.

She runs her own organisational consulting business in which she specialises in designing and presenting a range of workshops, executive coaching and leadership development, plus offering conflict mediation, facilitating strategic planning sessions and working with dysfunctional teams. In addition, she assists people in personal and workplace wellbeing, along with conducting psychometric testing and assisting with performance issues. Her corporate work is coupled with a private practice in clinical and counselling psychology in which she has gained a reputation for successfully helping ‘stuck’ clients in areas such as trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, return to work and troubled relationships. She is well qualified and experienced in practicing cognitive behaviour therapy and hypnotherapy with her clients.

She has a passion for helping people be the best they can whether personally or professionally. One of her greatest pleasures is when she sees her clients turn a corner and start overcoming their own particular obstacles. They can then make positive changes which move them closer towards their own definition of success.

Jacky is a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and past Chair of both the APS College of Organisational Psychologists and the APS Interest Group in Coaching Psychology. She is currently on the South Australian committee of the former. She holds the position of Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of Adelaide and currently lectures to Organisational Masters degree students.

Jacky is active on several boards and committees, regularly mentors younger colleagues and volunteers for various organisations. As well as her popular e-book, she has co-authored the highly successful “Short Poppies Can Grow: Confidence at work” and also published “Learn to Dance on a Moving Carpet: a guide to a balanced and meaningful life”. She was formerly a regular columnist writing on Wellbeing in a widely distributed Adelaide paper and is a past finalist in a national Business Woman of the Year award.
