Jane van Zyl, is Chief Executive of the charity Working Families discusses with Michael Millward the influence a quotation from James Baldwin had on her life and work.Jane grew up in apartheid South Africa. Despite her advantages as a white person, she was struck by inequalities she saw and realized that the system that was supposed to advantage her left her feeling disadvantaged and drove her desire to create change in the world.Jane explains to Michael the changes that Working Families has helped employers and employees who are working carers to create that deliver win-win solutions.
