About the Expert

Lauren has extensive experience in the field of alcohol harm. She has worked the sector for over 20 years and holds a BHSc in Addiction Studies and an MSc in Health and Wellbeing. As a consultant, trainer and addictions therapist, Lauren works widely with corporate organisations to reduce harm, promote employee wellbeing and embed a culture of open dialogue about the role of alcohol in society.

She is also the author of Try Dry, the official guide to a month off booze and a founder of the Dry January movement. She is currently writing an HR guide to tackling workplace drinking culture.
