With a focus on real-world difficulties such as how to start the conversation, what constitutes an alcohol problem, and who is most at risk, learners will go away with new insights into the nature of alcohol issues in the workplace. Additionally, there will be plenty of opportunities to explore ideas for promoting wellbeing among the workforce and take a proactive stance toward alcohol harm.
About the Expert
Lauren has extensive experience in the field of alcohol harm. She has worked the sector for over 20 years and holds a BHSc in Addiction Studies and an MSc in Health and Wellbeing. As a consultant, trainer and addictions therapist, Lauren works widely with corporate organisations to reduce harm, promote employee wellbeing and embed a culture of open dialogue about the role of alcohol in society.
She is also the author of Try Dry, the official guide to a month off booze and a founder of the Dry January movement. She is currently writing an HR guide to tackling workplace drinking culture.
