This talk is the first in a four-part series. You will learn that a contract is a set of promises made now, to be realised in an uncertain future and that the contract is there to hold each party accountable (morally and in law) for what they have promised to do.

Contracts can be written or verbal. To ensure we have a legally binding contract, there are the 7 tests, all of which need to be passed.(The second talk in this series explains how to get out of a contract, the third how to structure a contract and the fourth explains the intention of some clauses around risk.)
