In this digital age of speed, we can no longer persist in using the same old time management strategies. It no longer makes sense to ignore e-mail in the mornings or to use the Pomodoro technique, or to serial multitask. Just as aircraft behave differently as they approach the speed of sound, so our minds react differently as the pace of life increases. This book briefly reviews the most common brain-based time wasters such as attention residue, retroactive and proactive interference, the Zeigarnik effect, FOMO, mind wandering, and thinksomnia, and explains how to reduce them to a minimum.
