About the author

Patrick Jonsson grew up in the Swedish woods in an Irish-Swedish family. He has an international background and has a double degree in International Business with focus on Economics. Over the last ten years he has made an international career focused in Sourcing and Project Management in an International context.

After setting up a Nordic PMO which included Project Management Training, Patrick wholeheartedly felt that 20% of the Project Management Tools and Methodologies provide at least 80% of the value in companies. This means that there are significant returns on investment to be found by focusing in on the 20%. The Essence of Project Management provide a context for Project Management and provides the most important tools and techniques.

Patrick lives in Copenhagen together with is wife and two kids.

I shared this content with a group of recent graduates who agreed that it was relevant and interesting. They appreciated that the writers shared some of their personal experiences along with the lessons they learned. Worth a read.

I found it to be a great read. Not only for people who are considering taking a Graduate trainee position but I found it very useful in how to deal with all kinds of situations you might encounter when starting working for a new organization. It provides very good insights into how to navigate through all the complexity that a trainee program will have but most importantly it will give you great insights into general networking and what to expect and how to deal with internal politics when you start working.
