Jeff Hefel works at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota as a Professor of Management. He teaches courses in management, marketing, and economics. He holds an MBA and provides professional consultations and workshops to many local businesses and in strategic planning, and human resource management.

Managers and leaders play a large role in employee motivation. In this talk, the author discusses the importance of employee motivation and the role it plays in employee retention and engagement. By connecting both intrinsic and extrinsic motivational theories the listener will learn how to utilize psychology to create an organizational climate conducive to motivation and thus helping organizations reach their objectives.
