Managing staff who are working from home can be both a challenge and an opportunity. In these changed circumstances, managers will need to manage the work as efficiently as they have done previously wth staff in an office environment. Robust systems must be put in place to allow this to happen. Managers need to review their management styles, as what works when managing a team face-to-face may not work as well when managing staff who are working from home. Managers also have to consider how they continue to motivate their staff from a distance and work on their organizational culture while staff are working remotely.
