Microsoft Outlook is a software program that is part of the Microsoft Office suite. Outlook 2003 helps the user manage email messages, professional contacts, and calendars all in one place. This introductory textbook is meant for those who are new to the Outlook program. And although it is specific to an early version of Outlook, the text instructs the user in basic functionality which can also be applied to later versions of the program. It is available as a free e-book download here.

This Outlook 2003 user’s manual is divided into two parts. This second part of the manual begins with a detailed explanation of Outlook’s address book and contacts and teaches skills such as how to create and edit a personal distribution list, and locate and email a contact. This manual also details how to schedule appointments on the calendar, create a task list and assign tasks, utilize the Notes feature, share folders, use routing slips, and work offline. Detailed color screen shots are used for example throughout the text.

Those who need a basic introduction to the Outlook environment and to learn basic email skills and functionality within the program should download Part I of this user’s manual, also available for free here on bookboon.com.
